ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
The Department of Psychology at University of North Carolina, Charlotte (http://www.psych.uncc.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor position to begin August 2016. We welcome applicants with research and teaching interests in any area of I/O psychology, and in particular with expertise related to leadership development.
Required qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Psychology or a related field; potential for high research productivity; potential to contribute to our M.A. program in I/O Psychology and Ph.D. program in Organizational Science; commitment to teaching a diverse student population at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Preferred qualifications: a track record of publications and obtaining external funding for research; experience teaching courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; experience or potential to teach courses in leadership, leadership development, organizational change and development for working professionals, as well as undergraduate psychology courses including research methods and I/O.

The Department of Psychology is one of the largest undergraduate majors on campus and offers a M.A. degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a general M.A. in Psychology. The I/O MA program is designed for working professionals, and many of our students are working in HR-related positions or transitioning to HR-related careers. Additionally the faculty contribute to interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Organizational Science and Health Psychology.
