Launching a career in academia can require navigating a number of potential hurdles. It is far easier to do this successfully if one starts by successfully negotiating the terms of the initial appointment. In this session a panel of academic experts with considerable experience in administration will offer advice and training to those who are negotiating their (first) academic job. You will also have the opportunity to practice negotiating.
