Come learn more about negotiating for academic positions from experts who have been on both sides of the table at the Professional Development Workshop offered by the Conflict Management Division. (Apologies for cross postings)
Launching a career in academia can require navigating a number of potential hurdles. It is far easier to do this successfully if one starts by successfully negotiating the terms of the initial appointment. In this session a panel of academic experts with considerable experience will offer advice and training to those who are negotiating their (first) academic job. You will have the opportunity to practice negotiating and to debrief your experience with the experts.
