Dear AOM community,
We are currently conducting a meta-analysis focusing on the impact of perceived workplace discrimination on workplace outcomes. We are in the process of finishing our search of the published literature, and are now making a call to gather any remaining findings that are unpublished (unfinished, file drawer, non-submitted), or soon to be published. We are also interested in unpublished thesis data.
Specifically, we are interested in studies that relate an individual's perceived workplace discrimination to any sort of workplace outcome. This includes any type of discrimination in the workplace – general, racial, gender, sexual orientation, weight, age, etc. Workplace outcomes include such things as job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational justice, intent to remain, etc. or any other workplace outcome or metric.
We are also interested in any data that explores the effects of a discriminatory organizational climate on the above workplace outcome metrics.
If you believe your study qualifies for inclusion, we are requesting a brief description of the participant characteristics/sample, study design, independent and dependent variables (particularly the scales used to measure the IVs and DVs), and associated metrics –preferably a correlation matrix, but means and standard deviation or variances of the groups in the dependent variables or standardized beta regression coefficients in the form of a univariate regression model would do. The associated effects sizes are also desirable.
Alternatively, we would be happy if you can provide us with your data and any information required to determine how the variables might be coded. We will only use the data for the purpose of the meta-analysis and we will delete the data afterward.
Responses can be sent to this email address: hadiya.roderique12 AT rotman.utoronto.ca. Similarly, if you have any questions about this study, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
Thank you for the assistance and contribution to our work. We will gladly send you a copy of the meta-analysis once it is published.
Best regards,
Hadiya Roderique and Sonia Kang
