    Assistant Professor of Organizational Communication

     

    The School of Communication Studies seeks to fill an Assistant Professor tenure-track position in organizational communication. The position is to begin August 1, 2015. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, maintain an active program of research commensurate with a Research University (very high research activity), and perform service assignments including graduate and undergraduate advising. Ability to teach research methods is highly desirable. Ph.D. is required at time of appointment. The salary for the position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

     

    Founded in 1987, the School of Communication Studies at the University of Tennessee is dedicated to a scientific approach toward understanding the processes involved in interpersonal and organizational communication. We have over 300 undergraduate majors as well as master's and Ph.D. students. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, we are Tennessee's largest research institution. We have a state-of-the art Messages Effects Lab, Public Communication Center, and Integrative Organizational Research Lab. The Center for Information & Communication Studies provides support for external grant and contract submissions. Our dynamic faculty actively engage in interdisciplinary and cutting-edge research.
