We are once again hiring in the College of Management at UMASS-Boston for
Fall 2013 and invite applicants to join our faculty whose research
interests span areas such as inequality and social change, diversity,
inclusion and equality, and various dimensions of globalization processes
for organizations and individuals. Recently, we launched a doctoral
program with an Organization and Social Change track as well. In line with
our broad concerns over the intersections of individuals, organizations

Management and Organizations Position Description
The Department of Management and Marketing at UMass Boston
<http://www.umb.edu/> invites applications for an open-rank position
beginning September 1, 2013, with the possibility of hire at the rank of
Assistant, Associate, or Professor. Preference will be given to
candidates with at least several years of post-doctoral experience and a
significant publication record. Appropriate candidates will hold an
earned PhD/DBA in Management or closely related discipline and will be
expected to teach core and elective courses at graduate and
undergraduate levels.
Candidates from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to apply, but
should possess research and teaching interests at the intersection of
business and society. Topical areas of interest might include, for
example, social entrepreneurship, diversity, inequality, globalization,
the changing nature of work, financialization and governance, and
consumer culture and identity. The position will support the new PhD
track in Organizations and Social Change, which provides a distinctive
critical approach to organizations and management studies.
The Department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management

master's degrees. Total enrollment has grown rapidly to about 2300
