Dear GDO colleagues (apologies for cross-posting)

Please upload extended abstracts, development and full papers to http://www.edi-conference.org/index.php by February 1st 2013.
Psychological insights on social solidarity, equality, diversity and inclusion (Stream 15)
    Stream convenors:
Dr. Doyin Atewologun (City University, London, UK; doyin.atewologun.1@city.ac.uk<mailto:doyin.atewologun.1@city.ac.uk> )
Dr. Elena Doldor (Queen Mary University London, UK; e.r.doldor@qmul.ac.uk<mailto:e.r.doldor@qmul.ac.uk> )
Dr. Winny Shen (University of South Florida, USA; wshen@usf.edu<mailto:wshen@usf.edu> )

This stream will focus on psychological insights into contemporary issues on organisational diversity and equality. The overall aim of the stream is to explore some of the socio-psychological processes that work to create and perpetuate inequality and exclusion in the workplace. We particularly welcome submissions that explore issues around the promotion of social solidarity in the workplace, including research from both the perspective of historically privileged or advantaged groups and historically marginalized or disadvantaged groups. We are soliciting contributions from both research and practice perspectives attempting to help organizations (i.e., macro perspective) and organizational members (i.e., micro perspective) become more inclusive, by drawing on psychological concepts. We welcome both quantitative and qualitative studies. This stream aims to promote a more vibrant scholarly dialogue between researchers adopting psychological perspectives to examine workplace diversity and inclusion, and the broader community of EDI scholars. In addition to traditional presentations, the stream will include workshop activities to develop evidence-based practice in facilitating EDI in organisations.
