Hello everyone,
I am very pleased to report that Lois Tetrick, George Mason University, will be
the new editor of the Journal of Managerial Psychology as of January 1, 2013.
As you know, Lois is a prominent scholar in our field, and has a great deal
of editing experience. For instance, she served as editor of the Journal of
Occupational Health Psychology, Associate Editor of JAP, President of SIOP, and
the Chair of the HR Division of the Academy of Management.
The Journal of Managerial Psychology is an international journal that focuses on
I & O Psychology, OB, HR, and social issues. It has a 15 % acceptance rate, and
is ranked as a top 20% journal in our field. It also has a five year average
impact factor of 2.15.
The journal publishes special issues on some very unique topics including Job
Loss, Workplace Bullying and Agression, Contributions to Society, Employee
Behavior in China, Age Diversity, Intercultural Competence, Work family issues,
Generational issues, and Cooperation in organizations.
It has several special issues underway including those on: heavy investment in
work, ethnic power and privilege, HIspanics and Latin American work issues, and
Organizational Behavior in Africa edited by Stella Nkomo and colleagues. The
dealine for the special issue on Africa is July 1, 2013. Please see the
