David,
I have Adobe Acrobat X. In Acrobat X, in the opened PDF file, click on File --> Save As --> Spreadsheet --> Microsoft Excel Workbook or XML Spreadsheet 2003. You might still need to clean up your spreadsheet once it's converted. Hope this helps!

Subject: Assistance with Software
Dear Colleagues,
I need assistance.
Does anyone know of software that can do the following: scan a table from a magazine (e.g., Fortune or Business week - paper version) into pdf and then export to excel. There are so many tables. So, manually inputting the data into excel will be cumbersome and time-consuming.
I hope someone on this listserv has experienced and solved an identical problem. I'd appreciate the person's assistance.
Thanks so much in advance.
David
