This is to be effective formally from 1 August 2013. This initiative has been underway to improve the recruitment, monitoring, review and remuneration of career academic staff at the School in order to remain competitive in an international market. A key part of this new structure is the migration from the existing four academic titles: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor, to the three more globally prevalent titles: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor, with a new cluster of pay bands created that are unique to the new academic job family.
