We are seeking a colleague to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in human resources/organizational behavior, to maintain a stream of quality applied research, and to fulfill service responsibilities commensurate with the position. This position would begin August 2014, pending funding. Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne combines the strengths of our parent institutions while maintaining our own culture of excellence and dedication to quality teaching and research.
With a student body of nearly 14,000 undergraduate and master's level graduate students, we are a partially residential campus that attracts non-traditional as well as traditionally-aged students (many are first-generation college). Even in these challenging economic times, we have continued to build new facilities and have kept a strong enrollment. Northeast Indiana also offers a low cost of living in a setting that is conducive to families as well as to business.
The OLS department is a supportive and collegial environment, where faculty are committed to teaching and to research as we serve our students and the surrounding community. Our curriculum includes courses in organizational behavior, leadership, team development, workforce diversity, human resources (HRM and training and development) and personnel law.
Candidates should have a doctorate in human resource management, industrial relations, organizational behavior or related area. Those with doctoral completion dates prior to August 2014 will also be considered. Work experience outside of academe is welcomed.
