    Dear GDO Colleagues
In my earlier message, I indicated that we needed help with two positions.
I inadvertantly listed Website manager as one of those positions. Fortunately,
we have two great website managers. Thank you to Janet Barnes-Farrell and
David Kaplan for your support of the GDO Division through your management
    of our website.
There is a second position (besides the newsletter editor) for which we do need
assistance. The Division is currently seeking applicants for the position of Listserv Manager,
    which involves managing two lists:

. GDO-L, a closed list for the members of the GDO Executive Committee
. GDOEXEC-L, an electronic discussion forum for Division members

The Listserv Manager is a three year appointed term.
Principal duties of the GDO Listserv Manager include:

. Screening subscription applications as required by verifying AOM membership via the AOM website (usually 1-2 per week with several
peak times during the year where applications can rise to 10-15)
. Posting items of interest as requested by subscribers having problems posting or by non-academy members
. Updating subscriber addresses when requested
. General problem solving connected to the lists (posts redirected by AOM servers as possible spam, posts rejected because of address
changes, posts rejected because of attachments, etc.
. Answering queries from individuals interested in subscribing to the list.
. Serving on the Executive Committee of the GDO Division (participating in the conference calls and committees if you choose).
. Serving as the AOM Connect Group manager for GDO.
. Participate in the All Division Media Group conference calls (just formed this past AOM)

On average, it is about 30 mins to 1 hour per week, with heavier volume prior to the conference.
Note: Attendance at AOM is not required for this position, but certainly encouraged.

As described by our outgoing Listserv Manager, Dianne Murphy: "It is a great way to support our division and to stay on top of the latest activities in the GDO field. Our GDO Division is such a warm, welcoming group of scholars-you are sure to feel at home in your service."

Please contact me (stacy.blakebeard@simmons.edu) for more information or to indicate your interest in the position. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,
    Stacy
