TLC@AOM takes place during All-Academy activities prior to the refereed scholarly program.
What is TLC@AOM?
TLC@AOM is an Academy-wide conference organized in response to the growing teaching related-needs of AOM members around the globe. The goal of TLC is to support members across all divisions in the practice of teaching. The conference engages AOM members as teachers, increases the visibility of teaching both within and outside of the Academy, and positions the Academy as a global leader in management teaching in addition to its current leadership role in management education research.
TLC@AOM is offered as a 'Strategic Doing' initiative with a capacity of 300 participants. Last year's TLC@AOM filled to capacity. AOM members are encouraged to submit proposals and to register early in order to participate.
Where and When?
The TLC@AOM Conference will be held on Sunday August 3, 2014 in conjunction with the AOM Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA in one of the AOM conference hotels. Additional details on location will be posted as soon as they become available.
How do I submit?
The submission deadline is January 14, 2014, the same deadline as submissions for the Professional Development Workshops and the Scholarly Program of the AOM Annual Meeting. What is the conference schedule?
The tentative TLC@AOM conference schedule is as follows:
- 8:30 am – 10:00 am BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakfast) – Roundtable discussions of timely topics from AMLE and other management education journals
- 10:00 - 10:30 am Coffee, Conversation and Welcome
- 10:45 am – 11:45 am Concurrent Sessions I (60 minute sessions)
- 12:00 – 2:00 pm Lunch (catered) and Plenary
- 2:15 pm – 5:45 pm Concurrent Sessions II
- 6:00 pm Closing
