At the recent AOM conference, I met a representative of Google who shared a call for submissions with me. The conference for which they are seeking submissions looks quite interesting--they are asking for student submissions. Here is a bit more about the event--the deadline is August 15 so there is not much time. I am including information below. Faculty, please forward this information to your students. Students, consider applying.

On Oct 2, Google is hosting an event focused on rethinking the nature of work. There will be talks from businesses, academics and the press--they also want to feature students presenting their original empirical research on work and the workplace.
They are asking for a submission of a YouTube video (five minutes or less) posing an interesting question, explaining your findings and offering practical insight. The video should be submitted to:

Submissions are going to be evaluated on:
practicaility
innovation
accessibility
quality
clarity
They are not evaluating video editing or special effects. Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM on Friday August 15, 2014.
If selected, the student will be invited to present at re:Work on October 2 at the Googleplex in Mountain View CA. Travel and accommodations will be provided by Google.
