(Sorry for cross -postings, we wanted to get the update out to all as it involves journal ethics)

    Dear Colleagues

Just wanted to provide the community with an update regarding the EditorEthics initiative (http://editorethics.uncc.edu/).  A 2.0 version was created based on community feedback and distributed to all editors of the Journals ranked in the 2013 Journal Citation Reports® (JCR), published by Thomson Reuters  in the categories:  Applied Psychology, Business, and Management.  Editors listed in that document were contacted March 2014. Nearly 200 journal editors have affirmed their commitment to the code.  The code, affirming editors, our process/history, FAQs, relevant resources, and open comments can all be found on the website (https://editorethics.uncc.edu)

This is a great start.  The response from the Editors has been incredibly supportive. It is gratifying to see so many dedicated to the advancement of our science, with integrity.   The next step in the process is for the scholarly community to hold us editors accountable. If you have a questionable/concerning journal experience that violates the code, please don't hesitate to reach out to Deborah Rupp (ruppd@purdue.edu) or myself (sgrogelb@uncc.edu) for suggestions and/or seek feedback in the comment forum on the website: https://editorethics.uncc.edu/comments

Also, if you are a new journal editor or did not receive the first email, please let us know if you would like to be added to the affirmation list.

    Best regards,

Steven Rogelberg, Editor, Journal of Business and Psychology
