Quick Clarification: Best of 2014: Studies on gender and leadership

I have had a couple of requests for clarification on what we will be doing with the list I described in my below request. At the WLC we are really focusing a lot of energy on bridging the scientist-practitioner gap, specifically in the area of women's leadership. We would like our member companies to be exposed to current research on women's leadership so that they can make evidence-based decisions regarding women's leadership issues and initiatives. This list will be shared with them, along with some summaries of research papers on the list, as just a part of those efforts.

I am happy to share the list with other academics, but with the caveat that we aren't able to include every study published in 2014. The "best" angle is really just a necessity because we need to convince practitioners to be interested in the papers and we can't possibly summarize all the papers published in one year.

We are hoping that this effort will evolve into a best paper competition including some funding for the winners. If that occurs, however, much more advance notice will be given along with very specific guidelines and judging criteria.

More to come on that in the (hopefully) near future.

    Hope this helps-

    Hi all-

As a service to the professional members of our Women's Leadership Center, I am putting together a list of the "best" (most interesting, most practically applicable, most rigorous, "coolest") studies relating to gender and leadership that were (or will be) published in 2014.

I don't want to miss any that might not be in the mainstream places I am searching, so if you have any suggestions, could you please send them my way? I am happy to share with the list.

Full APA citations would be great, but if you just want to send me the author(s) names and general topic, I can probably find the article from that as well.

    Thanks in advance!
