    The Department of Management inthe School of Business, University at Albany-State University of New York, inAlbany, New York (http://www.albany.edu/business/school-of-business-departments-management.php)invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Human ResourceManagement/Organizational Behavior. Therank of the position is open, but it is expected that the successful candidatewill be an advanced Assistant Professor. The position will commence Fall, 2015.


    Applicants must possess a Ph.D. from a US accredited institution in HumanResources Management, Organizational Behavior, or a closely related field.Candidates should present a record of outstanding scholarly researchachievement, evidence of high-quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduatelevels, and collegial collaboration. Candidates should have experience teachingclasses in HRM or OB.



    The department is known as theglobal leader in Human Resource Information Systems research and education. Graduatestudents in the unique HRIS MBA program study the key functional areas of HRMas well as learn skills in designing and utilizing information systems in theHRM context. Students are given hands-on experience in HRIS by participating inconsulting projects with local businesses and major corporations. Graduates ofthe HRIS program are highly sought by industry, as evidenced by continued 100%placement success. The department is also the academic home of three majoracademic journals: The Journal ofTechnology Transfer, Academy of ManagementPerspectives, and the Journal ofManagement Studies (as of 2015).



    The University at Albany is aCarnegie 1 research university with over 17,000graduate and undergraduate students and is one of four university researchcenters in the SUNY system. TheUniversity is located in the state capital and is three hours from New YorkCity, Boston, and Montreal. The School of Business is housed in a beautiful newbuilding central to the UAlbany campus. Close by are the Berkshires, the Catskills,Saratoga, and the Adirondack Mountains, areas famed for recreational andcultural opportunities. The capital district area is a center for culture andentertainment and outdoor recreation.
