  • 1.  Session chairs for the August meetings

    Dear GDO Colleagues:

    GDO will have 23 paper sessions this year, each needing a chair. Engaged chairs make paper sessions much more rewarding for participants and presenters, so chairing is an important service to the GDO community. During the summer we will have an on-line forum on creative chairing.   There will also be a session on effective chairing during the PDW period, so chairing is a good developmental experience as well.

    If you are interested in being a paper session chair/discussant at the August meetings, please write to me listing the topical areas of greatest interest to you.  I am in the process of matching chairs to sessions now and would welcome self-nominations.

    Dear Colleagues,

    The response to my request for session chairs has been great.  I wanted to let you know that being a session chair is subject to the rule of three, so if you offered your services as chair and have already reached your maximum of three, I will not be able to accept your offer.  For those to whom this applies, I am sorry to have to disappoint you.  Thank you nonetheless.

    There are still remaining opportunities to chair, so please if your are interested and qualify under the rule of three, please let me know.
