UHD's College of Business has a unique opportunity for individuals interested in conducting research and/or obtaining an MBA.
The Minorities and Retirement Security (MRS) Program is entering its third year, and the grant team's stream of research is largely focused on the psychological, behavioral, and social drivers of financial decision-making and behaviors. Current projects include: 1) utilizing an experience sampling method to evaluate the effect of every day financial hassles on workers' well-being and performance, and 2) investigating the extent to which financial stress (i.e., loss of money) affects individuals' physiological well-being, cognitive processing, self-report and observed strain, and work performance. Duties (include but are not limited to)
· Collaborating with the research team to design studies
· Attending weekly meetings with the research team
· Traveling to, and presenting at, regional and national research conferences
· Developing abstracts & manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
Qualifications
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of financial, psychological, or sociological research methods
· Experience with statistical packages (preferred)
· Application to UHD's MBA or Graduate Certificate Program
· Not presently employed in a full-time position

· Undergraduate students (must have degree conferred by August 2015) seeking acceptance to doctoral programs in the areas of Organizational Behavior, Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or other fields of Business (e.g., Finance, Economics). This opportunity would serve as a platform to receive graduate level training in research methods and statistics, as well as serve as a platform to conduct quality research that will be submitted for peer-reviewed conferences and publications.
· Graduate students seeking tenure-track positions in Management or Psychology. This opportunity could serve as time for ABDs or post-doctoral students to conduct quality research that would be submitted for peer-reviewed conferences and publications. Additionally, post-doctoral students may be eligible for an adjunct teaching position.
