The Department of Management at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior at the assistant or associate professor level for Fall 2016. An active research agenda and teaching capabilities at both the undergraduate and graduate level are required. Filling this position will be contingent upon state funding and applicants should have completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior by August 2016. Applicants with equivalent degrees in other disciplines with relevant teaching and research may also apply. The ideal candidate will have research interests in diversity and inclusion and be prepared to support the Institute for Inclusiveness and Diversity in Organizations in their research efforts (see http://sdsu.edu/iido).

Applicants should be able to employ technology and a variety of effective pedagogies including collaborative learning, integrative sub-disciplines, and interactive discussions. Applicants should be able to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Candidates should also be comfortable with community and university outreach efforts that could include student internships, undergraduate and graduate research, mentoring student teams, and supervising experiential learning activities.
The College of Business Administration enrolls approximately 4,900 undergraduate business majors and over 500 graduate students pursuing both the MBA and Master of Science degrees. The Management Department offers undergraduate specializations in management, human resource management and entrepreneurship and graduate specializations in management and entrepreneurship. The Department of Management enrolls approximately 1,400 undergraduate and 50 graduate student majors. The Management faculty includes thirteen tenure-track faculty members, six emeritus professors, and several part-time lecturers.
