Interactive discussions will consider how recent advancements in network data collection, curation, and analytic approaches, enabled by the digital revolution, offer a chance to "open" research on the governance topic of leadership.

This coffee social is designed to build on the efforts of previous gatherings (i.e., CCL Thought Forum or the social hour held at the 2014 Academy of Management) to provide a forum for this group to meet. Anyone interested in these topics is welcome. Use this time to meet others interested in this space, dig into research challenges, and develop new collaborations.

We invite scholars to discuss how organizations can most effectively integrate their leadership culture and informal and formal structures to open governance and foster adaption, innovation and value creation. Research designs to empirically study this emerging area will also be explored.
