diversity training

    Hello, everyone,

    A colleague of mine at Georgia State University is on a committee examining diversity training practices at universities. They are wondering how diversity training is offered to faculty and staff. For example, is it offered only to new faculty at orientation or is it ongoing?  Is it mandatory or optional? What resources are used for the training?

    These types of questions seemed perfect for the GDO division, and since I am a member of this division, I offered to post his query on our listserve. If you have any insight you can share about your own university, please contact Mourad Dakhli directly at mdakhli@gsu.edu.
