    Hello GDO members!

It's that time of year when many of us start preparing for the annual AOM conference. For those doctoral students who have worked hard to advance to the final stages of their program and ready themselves to secure a job, it's both an exciting and anxiety-provoking time.  This year, we've decided to try something new – we wanted to facilitate the search process by introducing to you the GDO doctoral students who are on the job market. In this special newsletter edition, we have included (in alphabetical order) a brief bio that gives you a glimpse into the research and accomplishments of 36 students. We have also included a photograph and contact information for each of them so that you can reach out to any of the candidates to learn more about them.  We will be providing each of them with ribbons to attach to their conference badges that say, "I'm on the job market!" so that you can easily spot them at the conference and get to know them. We are also encouraging each of them to attend the GDO Social on Monday, August 8th, from 8:00-10:30 pm (@ Hilton Anaheim: Pacific B), and we encourage you to do the same, especially if your department is hiring this year! But even if you aren't hiring, we hope that this initiative helps to increase and strengthen ties within the GDO and broader AOM communities and promote an inclusive experience for our doctoral students.

To the students on the job market: On behalf of the GDO community, I'd like to congratulate you on your achievements thus far, and wish you all the best in your search for the job of your dreams!

See you in a few weeks J
