    Dear Listserv members,

A couple of days ago, I solicited your suggestions on diversity-related movies for a class assignment. I have received quite a few suggestions from you which are contained in the attached document. Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas that give me a lot of food for thought and many wonderful movie nights to look forward to.

Thank you Andrew,  There are two great movies that are not on the list.

    "Made in Dagenham" 2010

A dramatization of the 1968 strike at the Ford Dagenham car plant UK, where female workers walked out in protest against sexual discrimination/equal pay.

    "Suffragette" 2015

A British historical period drama film about women's suffrage in the United Kingdom, where Meryl Streep is Emmaline Pankhurst.  Original footage of suffragette marches is included.  Local story shows inequality at work; sexual harassment at work; inequality of pay; inequality in a marriage; in parenting rights etc etc.

Thank you Andrew for putting this list together, recently both HBO and Netflix came out with documentaries on race and class that might be useful as well:
