  • 1.  Query re diversity education in B-Schools

    Posted 10-24-2016 16:14
    Colleagues,

A few years ago, I was interested in exploring the question of whether (to what extent) diversity issues were included in undergraduate and MBA programs, either integrated throughout the curriculum or in stand-alone courses. I backed off after hearing (via a listserve message, as I vaguely recall) that someone was already doing the needed descriptive research. Can anyone point me toward any published or other publicly available information on this question? I have failed to find it.

    Many thanks.

    Hi David,

Ed Ng and I conducted two PDWs (in two consecutive AMO meetings) on this issue. Maybe that's what you recall.

Let's discuss offline to avoid clogging everyone's inboxes.

    Regards,

    Isabel

  • 3.  Query re diversity education in B-Schools

    Colleagues,

A couple weeks ago I send the query below to the listserve. Several people indicated an interest in what I learned, but the only response with content was a French-language PowerPoint file from Alain Klarsfeld who wrote "Here is (in French) a ppt of the results of a never published research on DM in about  the reference specialized HRM programs in France (grouped in an association called Reference RH). In the core HRM module of our generalist program i.e. our Master in Management, diversity is a thread for all headings such as recruitment, compensation, performance appraisal, etc... but there is no core 'diversity management' course per se." I've also checked the AACSB website briefly and found nothing there. My conclusion is that there is no general information about coverage of D&I in B-School courses.
