Some Journal News
First, congratulations to our Reviewer of the Year Award winners. Their excellent work is incredibly noteworthy.
Lisa Leslie, New York University
Sandra Fisher, Clarkson University
Mindy Bergman, Texas A&M
Julija Mell, ESSEC Business School, France.
Jonathan Ziegert, Drexel University
Second, I get a number of emails asking about how our hybrid registered reports (results blind review) submission track. Let me share an update
- We received around 15 submissions in 2016 to this track.
- I am happy to say that a few are just about to receive "in principal acceptances" based on highly compelling questions and highly compelling methodologies. After reading these papers, I am more convinced than ever about the importance of this effort to help create a robust and healthy science. Plus, reviewers have been very comfortable with the alternative process. More information on this intitiative and the terrific journals involved can be found at JBP.UNCC.EDU
Third, given the overall increase in submissions to JBP, we are now moving to 6 editions a year. This is also designed to prevent delays in getting articles into print.
Finally, really excited about our latest methods corner piece by Larry Williams and Alyssa McGonagle. It is an extremely important piece.
