Club Round #2 (2021-22)
We are pleased to announce our upcoming events in the SAP Reading Club new series in the academic year of 2021-2022: Behind the Scenes. In this bi-monthly event, we invite highly accomplished scholars to share their insights and their experiences of publishing qualitative research and surviving reviewing processes.
Writing for practitioners - Eric Knight and Jarryd Daymond, October 20th 2021
In October, we will have Eric Knight and Jarryd Daymond to discuss the process behind their recent publication, co-authored with Sotirios Paroutis, Design-Led Strategy: How to Bring Design Thinking into the Art of Strategic Management in California Management Review.
In this one-hour interactive session, Eric and Jarryd will share their insights of the impact of writing for practitioners and their tips of managing the reviewing process.

Writing about methods - Anne Smith and Paula O'Kane, December 8th 2021
In December, we will welcome Anne Smith and Paula O’Kane to discuss their recent publication, co-authored with Mike Lerman, Building Transparency and Trustworthiness in Inductive Research Through Computer-Aided Qualitative Data Analysis Software in Organizational Research Methods.
In this one-hour interactive session, Anne and Paula will share their insights of publishing in a methods journal and their experiences of dealing with the reviewing process.

Club Round #1 (2020-21)
Come meet like-minded peers to explore potential research opportunities together, read and discuss articles of your interest, and share experiences, questions, and reflections on your research.
To start up, we set up 4 main topics based on your feedback:
- Sensemaking & practice
- Collaboration & open strategy
- Practice theory
- Strategy practices in entrepreneurial context
We will meet three times around each topic:
- Meeting #1: Discuss relevant readings in the specific topic
- Meeting #2: Discuss problems and solutions in doing research in the topic- data gathering, analysis & writeup
- Meeting #3: Blending topics
Come to join us, meet some friends, and have an intellectually stimulating discussion over a coffee, tea, or wine depending on your timezone!
