If you identify as female, have taught in a post-experience program (e.g., MBA), and faced difficulties managing students, our PDW is for you!

We invite you to attend our PDW on Teaching MBA: Why Is It More Difficult for Female Instructors in Comparison to Male Instructors?

    Date: Sunday 27th, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

    Room: Bella Center, MR174/175

    Host divisions: HR, OB

The goal is to learn from senior and junior scholars how female academics can manage post-experience students in an MBA program, especially when they face challenging situations. This involves shared learning between (a) workshop participants who have experience teaching post-experience (MBA) students in a cross-cultural/international setting, and (b) those who are expected to teach in an MBA program and who would like to improve the way they manage the students.

In this PDW, participants are encouraged to discuss issues presented by the panellists, develop, and add to those through additional ideas. The discussion groups will allow interaction between experienced and junior scholars and thereby act as innovative and creative teaching idea incubators. At the end of the discussion session, each group will be asked to report a summary of their discussion and share their takeaways with the other groups to promote a greater collective understanding of post-experience student teaching.

We look forward to seeing you in Copenhagen.

Confirmed participant: Professor Paula Caligiuri (Northeastern University, USA)

Participating organizers: Dr. Sunanda Nayak (FORE School of Management, India), Professor Sachiko Yamao (Keio University, Japan)
