Global Talent Ireland 2025 - Research Ireland
Global Talent Ireland - Research Ireland invites exceptional mid-career (Rising Stars) and established researchers (Research Leaders) from across the globe to transfer their research activities to Ireland. Proposals must fall within the Research Ireland remit and provide compelling evidence for their potential to contribute to national development. The programme is only open to eligible applicants currently employed outside of Ireland. All disciplines are eligible under the scheme. There are two streams: (1) Rising Stars (5-15 years post PhD) and max budget request of €2.25 and (b) Research Leader (16+ years post-PhD) max budget request €3.25m.
Eligible costs may include research programme costs over 6 years and additional start-up costs to support a researcher's move to Ireland. Applications involve a two-step process 1) expression-of-interest; 2) full proposal (subject to invitation by Research Ireland).
