    Dear OB/HR Colleagues,

A new issue of the International Journal of Selection and Assessment has now been published (see below). My name is Ioannis Nikolaou and as the new Editor-in-Chief of the journal I want to thank Stephan Dilchert, the previous Editor-in-Chief, for his service to the journal. I'd also like to introduce the new associate editors' team, who have started their service with me:

    • Jeffrey M. Cucina, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, USA
    • Cornelius J. König, Saarland University, Germany
    • Richard N. Landers, University of Minnesota, USA
    • Janneke K. Oostrom, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands
    • Kristina Potocnik, University of Edinburgh, UK
    • Nicolas Roulin, Saint Maryʼs University, Canada

We hope you consider the International Journal of Selection and Assessment, as a primary outlet for your research if it is related to hiring, staffing (including, but not limited to, personnel selection), and assessment in organizations. Since the new editorial team has taken over we have managed to substantially reduce the overall time of the decision-making process to less than 40 days (from submission to final decision), with an overall acceptance rate of 13% and a desk-reject ratio of 36% (within 20 days on average).

In addition, we've updated our editorial board: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/14682389/homepage/editorialboard.html. We will also soon publish a new editorial article detailing our vision for IJSA. Come and talk to any member of the editorial team in SIOP and EAWOP congresses to seek more information about the journal.

International Journal of Selection and Assessment (IJSA) is a quarterly scientific journal that publishes original articles related to all aspects of staffing (including, but not limited to, personnel selection), and assessment in organizations. Papers that contribute new knowledge and understanding in assessment of individual differences, test validation, psychometric measurement, and personnel decision making are appropriate for the journal.  Articles can also deal with other aspects of personnel selection/staffing, such as job analysis, recruitment, downsizing, and performance measurement.  Other topics appropriate for IJSA include validation; validity generalization; group differences; fairness; bias; adverse impact; predictors; criteria; job performance; counterproductive work behaviors; organizational citizenship behaviors; adjustment; absenteeism; turnover; utility analysis; ability, knowledge, skill and personality measurement; classification; placement; and applicant reactions. Given IJSAs world-wide audience, cross-cultural investigations are especially welcome. The goal of the IJSA is to publish empirical studies, review articles, and theoretical expositions which make a substantive and original contribution to knowledge. Each issue includes the Information Exchange section consisting of (1) short empirical papers reporting reliability and validity evidence for specific measures, normative data for groups of special interest (specific occupational groups, men, women, various ethnic groups) etc.; (2) replication studies, (3) illustrations, (4) select book reviews, (5) position papers, and (6) practice accounts. The readership of IJSA is multinational and comprises both academics in staffing and practitioners in organizations. Papers should be written in a style that keeps the needs of both groups in mind. IJSA has an impact factor (2017) of 1.031 and is ranked 175/210 (Management) and 66/82 (Psychology, Applied).
