    Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty Position

    Organization Behavior/Human Resource Management

    The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking to hire one tenured or tenure-track faculty member (assistant, associate, or full professor) in organizational behavior/human resource management to begin August 2019 with the College of Business Administration (CBA).  UIC is a major research university located near the heart of Chicago's business community, just minutes from the downtown "Loop" and Lake Michigan. UIC is situated on a 240-acre campus and is the largest university in Chicago, with 30,000 students, and the most diverse in the Midwest.  The CBA at UIC is the largest provider of undergraduate business education in Chicago. We also have full-time, evening, and Saturday MBA programs, three specialized master's programs (accounting, information sciences, and marketing), as well as two PhD programs, one in MIS and one in Business Administration (with areas of inquiry in OB/HR, Accounting, Business Statistics, and Marketing). The CBA is AACSB accredited with 2,800 undergraduate, 700 MBA and 40 Ph.D. students. The undergraduate business program is ranked #1 in Chicago (U.S. News & World Report), the entrepreneurship programs are in the top 25 nationally (Princeton Review), and the interdisciplinary product development curriculum is an AACSB-award winner.     To be considered for this position, applicants should be scholars in the field of organizational behavior and/or human resource management as reflected in publications in highly regarded scientific journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Personnel Psychology. Requirements include an earned doctorate in management or a related discipline by August 2019, research publications commensurate with rank, and evidence of teaching excellence and commitment to service. Salary will be competitive with leading public research universities.
