About us · Executive Committee
How the Executive Committee is structured
The Organizational Behavior Division is a community of more than 6,000 scholars, teachers, practitioners, and graduate students from over 60 countries. Its work is led by an Executive Committee organized into three groups of roles: an elected chair track, elected representatives-at-large, and appointed members who keep the Division running year-round.
This page explains what each group does and how the roles fit together. The people currently filling them are shown alongside each role, but the structure comes first — cohorts rotate every year, while the responsibilities stay the same.

The chair track — a five-year progression
Officers elected to the chair track serve a single five-year term and advance one role each year, moving left to right through the sequence below. Because a new officer enters the track every year, five cohorts overlap at all times — this staggered design carries leadership knowledge from one year to the next.

Representatives-at-large — year-round programming
Representatives-at-large are elected by the membership to staggered terms, with a new cohort joining each year to preserve continuity. They design and run the Division's year-round programming: professional development workshops and consortia, faculty and doctoral programming, microcommunities, the reviewing initiative, international partnerships, and the social events that bring members together at the annual meeting. Several also chair a standing portfolio, shown on each card below.
