AOM Panel Symposium – How to align purpose in practice? Implications for Corporate Social Responsibility within MNEs.

    Have you ever wondered:

    1.     What is the purpose of corporate purpose? How is corporate purpose distinct from other concepts, such as CSR commitments? What, if any, analytical added value does it provide? How can it be measured in globally active firms?

    2.     How do purpose and CSR relate? What opportunities and challenges arise as firms state a purpose and seek to align it with various levels of CSR strategies? What (cultural) tensions arise for globally active firms and how can they navigate these?

    3.     What is the impact of a turn to purpose? Will a turn to purpose propel or jeopardize CSR? Under what conditions will it lead to "purpose-washing" of MNEs, or have profound societal impact?

If these questions intrigue you too, consider joining us for our symposium at the Academy of Management Meeting on Monday, August 12th, 11:30-13:00 at Hyatt, room: "Columbia". Hosted by Marloes Korendijk and Björn Mitzinneck, and featuring panelists Marya Besharov, Jonathan Doh, Matthew Kraatz, Rui Torres de Oliveira, the symposium will dive into research opportunities at the intersection of Corporate Purpose and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this crucial discussion, connect with thought leaders and pioneers in the field, and to bring your own questions to the table. See you in Chicago!
