Dear friends and colleagues,
I'd like to share with you my talk titled "Foresight Biases, Aha Moments, and the Next Michael Porter", given at the "Reimagining Tomorrow: Alternative Futures for Organization and Management Idea Development Workshop & Expert Panel" at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland, last month.
In it, I discuss how executives are misguided by the public opinion about the futures, and suggest a new way to move forward in management education to redress executives' biased views about alternative futures: leveraging aha moments, i.e., leveraging executives' propensity to learn by feeling rather than to learn by understanding. I do this in a deliberative non prescriptive manner, inspired by my research on Eastern Asian cultures and philosophies (I use puns and Koans in the talk to make a point).

I hope you will find it useful!
