    Call for Papers

Joint JIBS-JIBP Paper Development Workshop at the

48th Academy of International Business UK & Ireland Chapter Conference

     University of Greenwich, Online

    14 April 2021

Submission deadline:  Monday, March 1, 2021

The 2021 joint Paper Development Workshop (PDW) of the Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of International Business Policy will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2021 online, but organized by the University of Greenwich. The workshop takes place before the 2021 AIB-UKI Chapter Conference (see  https://www.aib-uki.org/conference.html ).

The purpose of the PDW is to provide scholars with developmental feedback on their international business research. There will also be a couple of plenary sessions on publishing and then authors will be paired with senior International Business scholars from the JIBS of JIBP Editorial Board for small group about their paper.

We invite original papers from new authors who have not previously published in their targeted journal, JIBS or JIBP.  We particularly encourage submissions from scholars who are at universities that offer limited research support, or who are trained in disciplines less commonly associated with the field (e.g.  geography, political science or history) but are interested in targeting international business journals.

Prospective participants should submit their paper by email, by Monday,March 1 (to jibspdw.aibuki@gmail.com ).  An applicant may submit only one paper, but may submit the same paper for presentation at the conference.  The cover page should include your name, email address and affiliation. Papers must conform to the style guidelines for conference paper submissions, listed on the conference website. All participants must register for the conference before they confirm workshop attendance.

Participants will be notified about the acceptance of their submissions by Friday, March 5. They will be required to register for the conference and confirm their participation by Friday March 19. If they wish a more up-to-date version of their paper to be discussed at the workshop, they will be able to submit one up until Thursday, April 1
