MOC Best Paper Awards in Entrepreneurial Cognition
Call for Papers / Award Nominations
The 84th Academy of Management Annual Meeting, Aug 9-13, Chicago
The Managerial and Organizational Cognition (MOC) division of the Academy of Management is pleased to call for nominations for the two annual awards for promising research on topics related to entrepreneurial cognition.
The purpose of this award program is to identify innovative (still unpublished) research papers in entrepreneurial cognition, applied to the individual, team, or organizational levels of analysis. Papers that have direct practical implications are especially encouraged. Awards are sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation.
Best Faculty-led Paper in Entrepreneurial Cognition
This award is given to a faculty or practitioner (non-student) solo or primary author of the winning paper. Award (self-) nominations should be submitted to Sergio A. Grove, at sagrove@utep.edu by May 31st, 2024. Submissions should include “Best Faculty-led Paper in Entrepreneurial Cognition Nomination” in the subject line, attaching the original paper to be considered and the primary author’s CV.
A panel of judges will short-list up to 5 papers. Shortlisted authors will be notified and requested to present the paper in person as a part of MOC’s Entrepreneurial Cognition PDW at AOM 2024 in Chicago. The final award winner will be selected among the shortlisted during this event and will receive $1000.
