Reviewing in the Rough

It's the 14th Annual Reviewing in the Rough!!!

Reviewing in the Rough is a two-hour two-part workshop taking place at this year’s Academy of Management Annual Meeting on Friday, August 9
th, 2024, 1-3pm, at the Sheraton, Chicago in Superior A, Level 2.

In the first part of the workshop, which is open to all, participants will have an opportunity to gain key insights about the review process and quality reviewing through engaging presentations from prior editors’ (Maryam Kouchaki and Batia Wiesenfeld), and author’s (Allison Gabriel) perspectives.

In the second part of the workshop, participants who complete their own reviews of a Journal of Applied Psychology original submission prior to the conference will receive feedback on these from experienced scholars in interactive small-group sessions. Participants will learn exclusive background information about the original submission from the author herself, along with the actual reviews of his team’s original submission and how they helped shape the final manuscript.

This is the 14th year of RIR and we are thrilled to have many outstanding scholars participating including: Chak Fu Lam, Christian Resick, Cristiano Guarana, Elizabeth McClean, Emily Heaphy, Esther Sackett, Frist Pil, Jennifer Dannals, Jonathan Kush, Ravi Kudesia, Ruchi Sinha, Shalini Khazanchi, and Steven Gray.
