For junior faculty members, post-docs, or doctoral students: Come participate in the HCM Emerging Scholars Consortium (#24718)

Are you a junior faculty member, post-doc, or doctoral student with research and/or teaching interests in health care management? If so, join us for the Health Care Management (HCM) Division's Emerging Scholars Consortium (ESC), where outstanding faculty will facilitate a highly interactive series of sessions geared towards emerging HCM scholars. See schedule with times for sub-sessions below.

To register for the ESC, please complete this Form (https://tinyurl.com/4ummsuhe) by Thursday, July 10, so we know to expect you.

If you have already registered for the ESC and RIR, you need not complete this form. We are already looking forward to seeing you.

    This year's series includes:

    1) the HCM Research Incubator: Research in the Rough, in which you can receive feedback on your research project. All slots for this component of the ESC with faculty mentor 1:1 feedback have been filled. However, ESC attendees may still come at the start of the ESC to discuss their research project or concern with small groups of peers. Alternatively, you can join the ESC group at 10am for the start of sub-session 2) and stay for remainder of the ESC.

    2) Teaching Incubator: Becoming More Effective Teachers, in which you will meet in small groups to discuss themes in teaching and receive advice

    3) Influence Incubator: You as Influencer and Change Agent in Health Care Management, in which you will gain insight into how to be an influencer at each stage of your career to improve HCM and the diversity and inclusion of people and ideas

    4) Community Incubator: Perspective on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Justice and Reconciliation, a historically popular session that provides a forum to address these issues from a trainee perspective.

The ESC's collaborative format is a fantastic opportunity to create relationships with faculty experts and other HCM emerging scholars from around the globe. Many long-time HCM members attest to the ESC as an origin for major research collaborations, employment, and enduring relationships. While the consortium content is curated for students and junior faculty, any session within the ESC may be attended by anyone with interest. Junior members of the field are encouraged to attend all sessions for a well-rounded experience.
