The AoM Annual Meeting was held during Aug 7-11, 2020 for the first time in virtual mode from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Accordingly, the annual business meeting of HCM division was conducted virtually and chaired by Prof. Timothy Vogus, Division Chair.

The HCM division at AoM had 24 hours of scholarly programs [ 9 paper sessions, 3 symposia, 1 discussion paper sessions, and 1 plenary session], and 9 hours of programming for the professional development workshop [ 3 sessions for emerging scholar's consortium, and 5 professional development sessions on topics: Research in the Rough, Teaching Incubator, Overcoming Dichotomies in Healthcare Management Research, How to Use and Publish with Theory in Health Care Research, and Applying Mixed Methods in Health Care Management Research]. On August 11, Professor Jacqueline Zinn
, Temple University, recipent of the 2019 Keith G. Provan Distinguished Scholar Award
, delivered the keynote address during the plenary session. Professor Zinn is a nationally recognized authority on quality and access in long term care services. Her research has contributed significantly to the understanding of long term health care organization and its relationship to such key policy problems as quality, efficiency and responses to regulatory and market forces. She has over 80 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and over 100 research presentations at national conferences. She is a 1996 recipient of the Thompson Prize for Young Investigators from the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
