Key Highlights: The HCM division at AoM Annual Meeting, Aug 9-13, 2019 in Boston, MA had nearly 33 hours of programs [ 14 paper sessions, 6 symposia, 2 discussion paper sessions, and 1 plenary session], and 15 hours of professional development workshops [ emerging scholar's consortium, and 5 professional development sessions on topics: academic career path in HCM, obtaining funding, research collaboration strategies, bringin absent voicesc into the classroom, and round-table discussion of participant-initiated topics].

Plenary Session at Annual Meeting: On August 13, Professor Thomas D'Aunno, New York University, recipent of the 2019 Keith G. Provan Distinguished Scholar Award, delivered the keynote address during the plenary session on the "role of mentors, opportunities and colleagues in a successful career". Professor D’Aunno has authored over 100 publications in top management journals, top health services journals, and top specialty journals. Through his research, he has significantly advanced knowledge on the organization and delivery of substance abuse treatment, leadership, formal organizations, institutional theory, organizational change, diversification, and strategic alliances and inter­organizational relationships.
