HCM Colleagues,
We are ONE WEEK AWAY from our deadline for nominations for this year's HCM Teaching Awards.
- The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2025.
- To date, we have received a very limited number of nominations for either award and would strongly encourage additional nominations.
- If you are thinking about submitting a nomination (either for yourself or a colleague), please let me know at pshay@trinity.edu, so that I can have a better idea of potential nominations to expect as the deadline nears.
- Submitting a nomination is straightforward!
- Initial nominations (including self-nominations) require 1) the nominee's name, 2) their affiliated institution/program, and 3) a brief statement explaining the reason for the nomination and the merits of the nominee.
- Competitive nominations may then be contacted to provide supplemental materials, including a current CV of the nominee, at least two letters commenting on the nominee's qualifications to receive the award, and any other examples of the nominee's work or achievements (such as teaching evaluations or syllabi).
- That said, initial nominations are welcome to also submit an accompanying CV, letters of nomination, and supporting materials.
- Please remember that HCM is sponsoring TWO teaching-focused awards: the HCM Excellence & Impact in Teaching Award and the HCM Outstanding Early Career Educator Award.
- The HCM Excellence & Impact in Teaching Award recognizes an educator who has established a record of high-quality teaching efforts and whose educational contributions have advanced the field of health care management (see further details below).
- The HCM Outstanding Early Career Educator Award recognizes an early career educator who has exhibited innovative and outstanding teaching within the health care management (HCM) field (see further details below).
- Please reach out with any questions or considerations to pshay@trinity.edu, and again...don't be shy to send in those nominations!
With appreciation,
Patrick
