Duties and Responsibilities
The Global Business School for Health at UCL East is an innovative Business School dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders for the global health economy. It will bring together the greatest minds from multiple sectors to challenge conventional thinking and address global health inequalities.
We are looking for a Director to lead MBA Health and Executive MBA Health programmes. You will ensure that our MBA Health becomes a world class programme, developing rigorous Key Performance Indicators for academic delivery, student recruitment, admissions and student experience.
You will challenge perspectives and join a new ambitious team to take a fresh, disruptive and global approach to health and healthcare leadership. You will manage the programme team and provide senior strategic leadership to ensure the programmes are positioned as first choice for next generation of health care leaders.
Through a combination of academic rigour and practical knowledge, you will demonstrate understanding of global health and healthcare trends to attract and recruit the brightest minds from multiple sectors. With a passion for delivering excellent student experience, you will raise the national and international profile of the MBA programmes through developing extensive internal and external networks.
This is a permanent post and will start in October 2021.
Key Requirements
You must have a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent research publications or work-related experiences in health, healthcare management or related field. You will demonstrate expert knowledge in an area of business and management.
You'll need experience of programme management at postgraduate level, and of teaching and supervising postgraduate students (both masters and doctorate). Skills in developing internal and external networks is an asset. You will be an innovative leader, inclusive educator, and a collaborative colleague.
