We are finalizing the contributor list for an upcoming Research Handbook on Healthcare Operations. We are seeking a small number of high-impact contributions that address critical emerging topics and strengthen both the scholarly and practical relevance of the volume.
Priority topics for new contributions include (but are not limited to): healthcare operations strategy and system-level integration; politics and healthcare operations; replication research in healthcare operations; alternative theoretical perspectives (e.g., practice-based view, institutional perspectives); strategic capacity management in healthcare (e.g., handovers); and healthcare supply chain and sustainability-related operations issues (e.g., coordination across care networks, sustainable sourcing, resilience, and inter-organizational process integration). We also welcome innovative proposals that introduce fresh perspectives or address emerging issues in healthcare operations.
Timeline:
We will coordinate individually with contributors to ensure flexibility while maintaining coherence across the volume.
