Call for Participants and Pre-Registration: HCM Practice Incubator

  • 1.  Call for Participants and Pre-Registration: HCM Practice Incubator

    Posted 05-31-2024 14:59

Building on the inaugural Practice Incubator held in Boston in 2023, we are pleased to invite participants to join the 2024 Practice Incubator PDW at the upcoming AOM Meeting in August, sponsored by the HCM division.

A growing number of scholars are bridging the gap between research and practice through partnerships with health systems, grant funding organizations, or are (or want to be) researchers embedded in organizations. However, disparate guidance exists on how to enter the practice field. The HCM Practice Committee is ready to assist with these challenges.

This session is designed to provide scholars at all levels of experience (doctoral students, early careerists, senior scholars) with a platform to exchange ideas and receive feedback and peer mentorship from colleagues who have successfully navigated the research-practice divide. Learn how they built their practice, the pitfalls to avoid, and how to best share your research expertise with real world impact. This workshop is open to all participants, though we kindly request pre-registration in order to assign participants to peer mentors to maximize the value of the PDW for participants.
