Does shaping the future of healthcare sustainability and management research excite you? Are you looking for ways to incorporate environmental sustainability into your teaching?
Join us on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 12:00 pm Central (GMT-5/UTC-5) for an exciting field trip and workshop to RUSH, one of the leading U.S. healthcare systems, where you will gain firsthand insights into the fusion of sustainability and healthcare management-essential knowledge for shaping the future of healthcare. In this PDW, you will collaborate with colleagues and pioneer new research opportunities to address climate change challenges in healthcare organizations.
What You Can Expect
· Interactive Discussion: Learn how RUSH and other leading health systems are driving change with cutting-edge sustainability initiatives. RUSH practitioners will be on hand to describe their work and answer participants' questions.
· Interactive Management Simulation: Practice strategies to minimize health systems' carbon footprint while also maintaining financial performance, care quality, employee engagement and organization reputation.
· Facilitated Roundtable Discussions: Explore with peers how theory and research can accelerate the development of sustainable healthcare practices.

Location
A site visit will be hosted at the RUSH University Medical Center campus in Chicago, IL, during the 2024 AOM Annual Meeting. The session is scheduled for four (4) hours. Transportation and refreshments will be provided.
