Leadership is a topic that attracts growing interest across nearly all AOM divisions-from entrepreneurship, health-care and strategy to technology, organizational behavior, and management. Whether you study founders, executives, or team leaders, understanding and publishing leadership research has become a key skill for scholars across disciplines.
To support PhD candidates, postdocs, and early-career researchers working on leader- or leadership-related studies, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam offers the online Winter School course "Publishing Leadership Research in Top-Tier Journals" (12–16 January 2026). This intensive one-week program helps participants develop, refine, and publish their work in high-impact journals.
The course combines expert lectures, individualized feedback, and small-group workshops organized into four tracks: conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews, qualitative studies, and quantitative investigations. You will work directly with an experienced faculty team including Jost Sieweke (coordinator), Agnes Bäker, Omar Solinger, Kathleen Stephenson, and Mark van Vugt. To round up the winter school, you have the chance to engage with editors of top-tier journals to learn more about the publication process and the journal styles.
Participants will receive 2 ECTS upon successful completion. Whether you're refining an idea or finalizing a manuscript, this Winter School offers concrete strategies to strengthen your theoretical framing, methodological rigor, and publication success.
📅 Application deadline: 8 December 2025 (23:59 CET)
