Join us for the PDW "Flipping the Formula: Writing for Mainstream Audiences" on Saturday August 05, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM in Sheraton Gardner A.

Have you ever wondered how to make your research applicable for audiences outside of academia?  You're not alone!

As scholars, we are often challenged to clearly articulate our ideas in ways that launch our work from the pages of academic journals to outlets with a more generalized readership or mainstream audiences (e.g. Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, The Conversation, The New Yorker, etc.).  Learning how to write for mainstream audiences can yield broad societal impacts, rich professional opportunities, invitations for speaking engagements, enhanced expert reputation, it can connect research to policy makers and executives, and even attract more readership to academic publications.

Join us for our PDW, where we will cover approaches and strategies for writing in this style.  Additionally, a panel of esteemed HCMD leaders will share insights on their own experiences in deciding to write for mainstream publishing outlets as well as the rewards and challenges they experienced in the process.

We look forward to seeing you there!  (No registration required!)
