The School of Public Administration at the University of New Mexico invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in August 2023. This is a full-time, tenured/tenure-track position with specialization in health administration. Applicants must have a doctoral degree ((including PhD, DrPH, DHA and equivalent terminal degrees) in Health Administration, Health Services Research, Health Policy, Health Systems Management, Health Informatics, or another relevant field by the date of appointment of August 1, 2023. Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. For best consideration, all application materials must be received by January 31, 2023.
Applications must demonstrate evidence of educational excellence and leadership potential for senior associate professor applicants. The new faculty member will teach courses for students in the Master of Health Administration and the Master of Public Administration, supervise master's students, and contribute to core, required graduate courses. Teaching areas of interest include healthcare quality, strategic management, operations management, healthcare management, leadership, and/or healthcare marketing.
