Associate Chair for Management and Leadership Programs

The Department of Health Policy and Management, Bloomberg School of Public
Health in the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland invites
applications for the position of Associate Chair for Management and
Leadership Programs. This new position is responsible for the strategic
direction of the Master of Health Administration program [MHA], oversight
of the DrPH in Leadership and Management and growing the portfolio of the
department’s executive education programs. The Department is a full
Graduate Member of the Association of University Programs in Health
Administration (AUPHA), is fully accredited by the Council on Education for
Public Health (CEPH) and its MHA Program is accredited by the Commission on
Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
Responsibilities: The Associate Chair has primary responsibility for the
management of the existing MHA Program and will lead the development of
innovative educational programs in health management, both on-campus and
online. The Associate Chair will also teach master/doctoral level courses,
as well as advise and mentor students.
Qualifications: Qualifications include an earned PhD, MBA, MHA, or similar
degree in health administration, health policy, or business administration.
Strong candidates for this position will possess experience in academic
department or program leadership, health care management and teaching in a
graduate setting. In addition, a network of high-level relationships in
the private health care sector would be beneficial. Rank will be
determined commensurate with experience.
