The Health Care Management Division (HCM) of the Academy of Management is accepting applications for its 2016 Emerging Scholars Consortium to be held at the Academy of Management Meeting in Anaheim on Friday, August 5, 2016.
The Emerging Scholars Consortium is designed for early career participants who teach or conduct research in the healthcare management domain. The goal of the Emerging Scholars Consortium is to provide participants with insights to succeed in an increasingly competitive academic environment. This one-day interactive workshop will focus on strategies to balance the competing demands of research, teaching and service to build a successful academic career. The consortium also serves as an opportunity to network with peers and senior faculty in the healthcare management field.
The ideal participant for the HCMD Emerging Scholars Consortium will be on the job market during the 2016-2017 academic year or in a junior faculty (post-doctoral fellow or researcher) role in an academic setting with less than five years of experience.
Applications for the HCM Emerging Scholars Consortium will be accepted until July 1, 2016. To apply, send your CV and a brief description of your current role and responsibilities via email to HCMD@nyu.edu. Include "Emerging Scholars Consortium" in the message title. Applications will be accepted until enrollment is full. For further information contact Mattia Gilmartin, 2016 HCM Professional Development Workshop Chair by email athcmd@nyu.edu.
