Description
The Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University invites applications for the position of Associate Professor of Healthcare. The Associate Professor of Healthcare will provide leadership in the development of the Neeley School's healthcare-related curriculum and programs. This position is open to candidates from any field within business or fields within healthcare, including but not limited to healthcare economics, healthcare administration, and healthcare policy. This position may be a tenure-track or professional practice appointment as described below. The position will be available starting the 2017-18 academic year.

Texas Christian University has approximately 10,000 FTE graduate and undergraduate students with approximately 2,000 undergraduate majors and 400 graduate students enrolled in the Neeley School. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, the Neeley School is situated in one of the nation's top metropolitan areas for business growth. The Neeley School graduate programs have regularly been ranked among the top 50 by publications such as Bloomberg BusinessWeek and The Economist. Faculty throughout the Neeley School are accomplished teacher-scholars, regularly publishing in the very best journals in their areas of expertise. TCU has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in nursing, and will launch a medical school in 2018 in partnership with the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center.
The Neeley School is one of 727 business programs accredited by AACSB International and one of 183 programs holding specialty accreditation in accounting. The Neeley School offers a fulltime MBA, a Professional MBA, an Executive MBA, an MBA for Energy Professionals, an MS in Supply Chain Management, a Healthcare MBA and a Master of Accounting.
Requirements
The position requires a PhD or DBA in a business or healthcare discipline. The successful applicant will be a faculty member within one of the five departments within the Neeley School (Accounting, Finance, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, and Management, Entrepreneurship and Leadership). Candidates for a tenure track position will have a strong record of accomplishment as a teacher and scholar, with a record consistent with being a tenured faculty member as an Associate Professor. Candidates for a professional practice position will have a strong record of accomplishment as a teacher with significant experience as a leader within the professional healthcare industry. It is desirable for candidates for a professional practice position to have demonstrated research expertise within healthcare. For either a tenure track or professional practice appointment, experience with graduate education and executive education in healthcare will be desirable.
Candidates should have the ability to teach in more than one of the following areas: strategic leadership in healthcare, healthcare policy, healthcare analytics, healthcare operations, healthcare economics, and healthcare quality management.
